Agricola's Day

Mikael Agricola is the so called "Father of Finnish written language."

He wrote the first Finnish book, which was a part of bible.

It was published first in 1543.

9th April is the day he died, which is called "Agricola's Day." It's one of very few national holidays in Finland.

It's 450 years anniversary this year.


Also, the day was also the last day of Easter this year, so no shops were open. Supermarkets, covenience stors, and even McDonalds' were closed..!!
